本書"Who's better, who's best in basketball?"作者是Elliott Kalb，綽號「統計先生」(Mr. Stats)，顧名思義，作者利用統計數據將各大NBA球星的能力排名，過程必然表面客觀實質主觀，某些排名必定招來謾罵，我也不盡苟同，但是他的理據卻頗有一套，相當有趣。本書寫於2003年，某些較後期的球星明顯排名過高，作者對他們理應十分失望。
